Harvest Festival Fun

We had so much fun at the Harvest Festival at the Agricenter last Saturday.  Wesley RAN through the mini corn maze, got to PET the camel he named "O", ATE popcorn and cotton candy (as seen in the picture) and RODE a hay ride pulled by a real John Deere Tractor.  It was a nice day outside and we came home high on sugar and arms filled with pumpkins and fresh veggies.  All the while Shea slept and woke up for water breaks (it was warm).  We love Harvest Time!

PERFECTION

Shea went to see Dr Bubba today and he told her she is growing PERFECT!  She is now 9 pounds 14 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long.  I can't believe she has grown 2 1/2 inches and gained over 2 pounds.  She still seems so little.  She is doing so much...smiling, cooing, reaching for objects.  She even rolled over the other day to my surprise!  She even sleeps through most nights...what a good girl for mommy and daddy.  She is very sore from her shots today but being quite the champ.  Yeah for Baby Shea!  She is just perfect...

Lamby

Wesley's best friend is Lamby.  Lamby eats with him, takes naps with him and goes everywhere mommy will let him go.  So we decided to take a height picture of these two to show how Wesley grows...

LOOK OUT Michael Phelps...Here I come!

Memphis Zoo

Wesley and Shea's first trip to the zoo was great!  Jay had the day off so we went exploring.  Wesley loved the giraffes and polar bears.  He really just loved it all and hasn't stopped imitating  the monkeys since.  Baby Shea slept through most of the event but enjoyed the perfect weather.

Baby Activities

Well, these days, Baby Shea mostly eats, sleeps, makes diapers and sleeps.  Here are a couple of pics of her.  Note Wesley giving her a rock in her car seat.  What a helpful big brother.

Big Brother Blues

Big Brother Wesley has been adjusting to his baby sister...but he is doing much better now.  Here are some pictures of his snooty face while he was getting used to her.  Now he is quite protective and always makes sure we don't leave her at home when we leave or leave her in the car when we make Target runs.  He cannot play with her yet but he sure keeps up with where she is at all times.  He is a sweet big brother!

TA DA! Madison Shea has Arrived!!

Monday, August 11, 2008, 2:40 pm, Madison Shea Snow made her arrival into the world.  She weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces and is 20 inches long.
We finally made it home from the hospital on Wednesday at about 10:30 am....we were so ready to get out of there and get her home!
Ashley and Madison are both resting and recovering well from the big event.
Wesley is already trying to help in any way possible.
We just thank The Lord that Madison and Ashley came through everything without any problems.
Our family is so blessed in so many ways.  We are continually thankful for all of our wonderful family that loves and supports us!

Waiting Game...

UGH...this is the waiting game!  Everyday you get the house clean, clothes washed and folded, bag ready again, plenty of fresh milk and food for Wesley...everything perfect, thinking THIS IS IT, IT WILL BE TODAY!  and then nothing!  Guess the doctor was right...Baby Madison Shea is in no hurry as she has her comfortable place with her doll house and in no rush.  So I guess we will meet her Monday morning sometime...August 11.  We'll post the update and pics later!

BIRTHDAY BOY!

Wesley is now "TOOOO" as he'll tell you.  He had a great day...went to the doctor and got the "perfect" check until next year.  It's hard to believe he is a preschooler now and we don't need to make checkups, shots or anything else every couple of months.  He is a big boy now.  These days are just getting ready for his baby sister who will be here soon..."Oh, No...", He says...:)

Wesley is TWO...almost!

Wesley had soooo much fun at his birthday party.  He got to share it with his cousin Josh and Dada because we celebrated early getting ready for baby sister.  He ate kabobs, carrots and lots of cake, opened presents and cut the pasture at Ginny's with his new lawn mower.  Here are some pics of his fun night!

On The Farm

It's Tractor time on the farm, most days. Wesley gets his fill outdoors with Ginny helping to cut grass and collect limbs.  He loves the outside!  ...and mommy, well, not so much...since it's hot and we will be having the baby sooner than later!  Looks like August 4 will be the date if not earlier, per the doctor.  Now we've just got to fine tune the "To Do List" and we'll be ready.  Thanks Ginny for entertaining Wesley!!

IT'S HOT!

I'm not sure who gets hotter...pregnant Mommy or Wesley Bear.  We have been staying cool by swimming at Ginny's and going to the Sprinkler Park.  Here's Wesley cooling off in his stylish diaper and crocs while being bottle-fed some good old water after helping Dada with yard work.  What a good boy.  He loves to "Hep" (HELP as he says)

Big 5 YEAR Anniversary

So...I am VERY pregnant and couldn't go far for our anniversary but Jay was sure to find a way to getaway!  It was great!  We went to Little Rock...stayed at the Peabody (nice)...acted like tourists (which was fun)...shopped at the Riverpark District(good atmosphere)...ate at Sonny Williams (steakhouse, yumyum).  It was a nice getaway and we even made it without the little guy.

WRANGLiN' WESLEY

Wesley had so much fun at the Belz Family Picnic at Putt Putt...he ran around, ate icecream, saw a gigantic Love-Love (giraffe), played on the playground, but his FAVORITE part was riding the ponies.  He rode Smoke and Babydoll, his favorite.   She had blonde hair.  He never wanted to get off to take a break.  Here are some pics of him riding Smoke.

Big Brother Practice

Wesley and I have been practicing being a "BIG BROTHER" to the new baby.  We practice swaddling Raggedy Andy, putting him in the bassinet, and giving his "night night kisses". Wesley really takes his job serious in the way he carries him, gently lays him down (head-first, whoops) and gives him kisses.  It's so sweet!  I know he will be such a good big brother to his sister (at least most of the time)!  As you can tell by the picture to the right...Wesley's not quite ready to give baby HIS favorite blanket...

Tax-Free Weekend Shopping

WESLEY MODELING HIS NEW OUTFIT!  Wesley and I splurged on Tax-Free Shopping Day and bought him a new outfit  from Gymboree, of course, because it had airplanes!  He carefully made his very own shoe selection himself (crocs, of course).  He felt so proud when all his teachers at MOPS said, "Oh Wesley, you look so handsome today."  He just smiled back and knew he did.

WESLEY'S GRADUATION

YEAH!  Wesley graduated from swim last Friday!  Josh was there to see him receive his first trophy. His teacher said he is able to float and swim if he were to fall into a body of water.
He was proud of his trophy after he got home from the pool.

Here is his GRADUATION SWIM...WATCH, Don't Listen...

Ladder Friendly

Wesley is so much fun now that he is older, more independent and is "somewhat"able to reason with.  He loves ladders (Thanks to Uncle Todd for taking him up the arbor...:)).  So I decided instead of keeping him occupied while I cook dinner to just let him do the cooking.  I pulled the ladder up to the counter.  He poured in the water, box of rice, little butter and seasoning. Mommy puts it on the stove.  In another pot, he dumps the broccoli in, adds water, salt  & pepper and Mommy puts that on the stove...And VOILA!  Sides are ready! "Watch Out Uncle Wes, at this rate, I'll be at your level in no time"...:)

Baby Snow's Princess Quarters

So now we are planning Baby Girl Snow's room and have the colors narrowed down :) ....pink, lime green, yellow and any other bright color!  We're using flowers and butterflies as our theme. The walls are already yellow so that is perfect!  Here is the crib bumper we'll use.  Now Mommy has to get creative and paint some wall art and other fun things to add.  FUN! FUN! FUN!

All Guys Weekend

Wesley woke up just in time to watch the TIGERS clinch their berth in the Final 4 in San Antonio!!
Wesley says his favorite player is Joey Dorsey!

Momma got home just as the game was ending and caught us chilling in the media room watching the game; she laughed at us because we looked like a couple of couch potatoes.  Wesley got her back later by tickling her feet, he thought it was VERY FUNNY.

HAPPY EASTER

Although Wesley was sick, he still got dressed up for Easter.  He wore a cute Easter Bunny suit passed down from TJ.
